Debuting July 23rd at Barrett Barrera Projects is a new exhibition titled Introducing Lee Alexander McQueen, featuring recently acquired garments and ephemera by the acclaimed designer.

Ann Ray & Lee McQueen: Rendez-Vous, a fashion exhibition exploring the thirteen-year friendship and intimate creative collaboration between the late British designer Lee Alexander McQueen and French photographer Ann Ray, will reopen at projects+exhibitions. The exhibition features photographs taken by Ray, reflecting her unique relationship with McQueen between the years of 1997 and 2010, alongside garments McQueen gifted to her over the course of their work together. The exhibition also features over 50 key McQueen fashion pieces from Barrett Barrera Projects’ collection.

Our locations will be at limited capacity in order to maintain safe social distance between visitors. We have enhanced our cleaning and sanitation measures and have implemented policies for the collective benefit of our family of visitors, collectors, artists and staff. We request that all adult visitors wear a face mask and remain six feet away from staff and other guests. Masks and hand sanitizer will be available at both spaces.

In-person tours, events, and other programs are suspended until further notice.

At Barrett Barrera Projects, we live our vision statement of art being a verb and will continue to introduce new platforms, programs, operations and communications, both onsite and virtual, as we navigate reopening during COVID-19.
